  • Scheduled speed tests to troubleshoot ISP-related issues

I am trying to build a case so I can take it up with the ISP. You see, in the last three evenings, our internet latency and BW drops to way below what I would consider normal. This starts to happen right around 8PM. But by around 11PM, everything magically goes back to normal.

Just to give some background, I normally get 1-2ms latency with 200d/400u speed. Prior to three days ago, I get this performance all day, peak or non-peak hours.

In the last three evenings however, right around 8PM, the performance dips to 150-200ms latency with 50d/100u speed.

The above outputs were measured using Speedtest by Ookla, using the server of my ISP as the target.

As such, I'm soliciting advice on what the best tool to use that can automatically get a sample of my internet speed and latency every X minutes for at least 24hrs.
