Script or API to update tags or tunnel rules without logging into admin console

Hi there,

I'm looking for a solution to easily change the tag assigned to a device remotely. The use case is, I have an Android TV device I would like to tag / untag to change VPN tunnels. The reason for this is some of the local streaming services don't work through the VPN, and some of the remote services are only available through VPN.

I'd like to set up a link / button for my family members to use that will then complete the tag/untag event. The only option I have come up so far is to use the user notification script to update the user for the device. I could then create a button on my home automation dashboard that could run two versions of the script to update the user associated to the Android TV box.

I'd prefer to use tags if possible, would be great if anyone has managed to creatively solve a similar issue.

You can do this via the API, IP to username at least. I use PowerShell to do this at work. I can post an example, if you would like that?
