  • Cellular Modem Specifications (e6wl)

I'm struggling to locate the specification on the cellular modem, specifically on the e6wl. Anyone have one they can tell me the chipset model and/or supported bands on? I'll open a ticket too later today if nobody here has any idea.

    Thanks

If you have one available, even if you can crack the case and grab the part number off the cellular radio, that would be enough to allow me to look into it. The chipset model might be available via CLI as well depending on how the driver reports it to the OS.

Any ideas on this yet? For reference, this is something you should have documented as well. It's critical information in certain sectors (i.e. public safety).

Does anyone else have one of these units that can pull the info from the cellular card?

The modem is Sierra Wireless em7455. The bands are defined based on the provisioned carrier. Before we send out the device we confirm the carrier that will be used and we provision the modem with the specified carrier profile.

Thanks for the info. Any chance of being able to swap in the EM7411 for B14 (public safety) requirements? The EM series chips have all the same AT commands to initiate the port and dial out don't they?
