  • Consumer VPN question

    Hi This is sd-wan.
I have a wrt1900acs and have set up a few expresvpn vpn connections. Seems to work so far.

I would like an explanation of how "lowetst latency" and "lowest packet loss" are determined. Would it be to the vpn connection or the ultimate destination of the packet? How often are these tested? And or changed?

Also i minor issue from the screenshot. The new window does not fit.

I would assume it's to the VPN server itself, if you start having latency issues or frame loss issues to that point, everything past it would be impacted just the same anyway.

Agree but how long or often does it check or switch to another?

Each link (VPN link or physical link) is tested for performance such as latency or packet loss every 10 seconds. If performance has changed in that time period enough to warrant a switch, it will happen at that point.
