  • Need help to import the easylist to ad blocker

Hi I would like to try to import the easylist into ad blocker. But it is in text format. And unfortunately, the untangle only support json format. I tried to use php script that was made by WebFool without success. Can anyone help to update the php or show me easier method to import them.

    Thanks in advance !

    Hi mammothrex,

    First Welcome to the forum!
Yes my old PHP version is for Untangle 9.0 or something like that.

I think continuing with PHP is just stupid so i wrote a quick Powershell version.

There are a few things that can be done better but it works for now.
Let me know if you have any questions.

The ps1 scripts run nicely, and I got the output file. I was trying to import it to Ads Filter, and I choose "Append to current settings" when import, as soon as I clicked Save button, the pre-populated within User Defined Filters all disappeared. Is it meant to happen ? or was the import failed ?

Is it the import only accept 2000 entries per import ?

Just made an update to the script.
It now works better with handling the whole list and converts to json in a standard way.

Regarding adding them I have just used "Replace current settings"
Have not counted the lines after imported but I can see the first line at the top and the last line at the bottom so I think it imports all.

But the Export seams to have some cap that we are hitting. (Or at least in my test box)

I'm working on a cool script to allow you to combine multiple lists and then remove duplicates and output a JSON file. Will also have a page you go to that will have already generated JSONs from popular lists I find that will refresh every 24 hours. Just started it yesterday so it may be a little bit before its ready.
