How do I get Administrative Alerts by e-mail?

I don't know if I should be getting Administrative Alerts via e-mail, but I'm not. How do I configure the alert system to send them?

Add your email address to the admin account.

If you've already got your email address associated with the admin account or you have created a Reports User for that email address and the emails aren't arriving, check your settings in Config > Email > Outgoing Server. The 'cloud hosted relay' option is sometimes unreliable and should be changed to either 'send directly' or the specified SMTP server option; whichever makes the most sense for your environment.
