That is what beta 2 would be for. LOL Or at least a patch so someone could import their config.

I don't disagree. Only reason I haven't upgraded is the config issue.

Same for me. My 16.5.2 backups are from too long ago, too many changes have happened with my config. Need to be able to import a 16.6.2 backup.

Hello, I was having issues with the DDNS update client for Cloudflare. I got it working using the global api key which isn't ideal. I see in ddclient 3.10.0_1 that support has been added for Cloudflare API Tokens. Has ddclient been updated in this version?

          Thanks,

I finally did the 17 beta update. Seems a bit "laggier" than with 16.6.2. Not sure if I'm just crazy.

Went back to 16.6.2 and everything works again. There's definitely something up with beta 17, might want to check performance issues.

With two weeks on the clock with this beta, I agree, there is an overall lag to the UI. I thought maybe there some debugging flags set, but couldn't find any. Haven't had any network issues or OS crashes though.

It would be great to have a snappy UI/UX. Not a deal breaker by any stretch.

Are you seeing "lag" only with the UI?

                If so, where in particular?

I can't think of anything fundamental that we've changed in this release in regards to the UI.

The easiest way to explain it would be that, when I navigate from my apps or config, back to the dashboard, the modules will spin for a good 5-10 secs (or longer) to display. Before you and the team go down a rabbit hole, let me do some testing across the multitude of web browsers I use to see if it is more specific to a browser, vice the OS itself.

Thanks for looking into it. I'm definitely not seeing that kind of lag with Chrome.

And is this directly from the LAN or via cmd?

Okay, so it looks like my situation revolves around the Brave Browser and how it performs its blocking mechanism. No issues with Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (clean install and now add-ons).

When I turn off the Brave Shield, I almost instantly can see the responsiveness of the GUI.

As my team SGM would say, "you can now take your hand off of the red-star cluster and stand down." Thanks for hearing me out.

Any update on the 17 public release? If not, would support assist in adding the code to fix the bug interfaces from changing? That is the only thing holding me up from switching to untangle. I am unable to do it myself.
                        Thanks

It is not that hard to do. Are you using a Windows OS on your computer?
                          Check out this: https://forums.edge.arista.com/forum...nterface-names
Go to the second page, there is a response from sky-knight that gives a way to do this using Win-SCP. I did not use the VS Code part he mentioned, just the internal editor worked fine.
Since the public release is not available, I would like to request that the beta be updated to allow an import of a 16.6.2 config.

Beta 2 is now available using the same links from the initial first post of this topic. The main fix is that you can now restore backups from the previous release.

Thanks. Will the beta 2 still prevent updates to the final release?

The betas will not prevent upgrade, but it is not guaranteed to upgrade successfully. We generally don't recommend upgrading from beta.
