  • NG Firewall 17.0 Release Candidate now available!

Version 17.0 of NG Firewall is now available for download from Arista Edge Threat Management dashboard.
    This release includes:
    • Multi-factor authentication - You can configure a TOTP code to log into the local web administration as a secondary authentication method.
    • DHCP Relay - The DHCP server for LAN interfaces can forward DHCP requests to a remote DHCP server to centralize IP address assignment across a distributed network.
    • WiFi regulatory domains - You can assign the regulatory domain based on your selected region so that NG Firewall updates the list of available frequencies.
    • New WebFilter categories.
    • Persistent NIC mapping.

This release also includes a few minor bug fixes which are detailed in the Release Notes. It is available for upgrade to those on the Early Access List (EAL).
We welcome your feedback. Upgrade FAQs

Updated my instance yesterday. Nothing to report, all is working well. Will try a fresh install later this week to see if anything jumps out as "crazy".

Is there a desire from Arista for more alpha/beta testers? Just spent the last 15 minutes reading the feedback portal for NGFW, and there are a lot of "Planned" or "Under Consideration" requests that have been there for years. Not sure if testers would help, but curious as the RC is now out for public consumption, how do we accelerate the "Planned" and "Under Consideration" requests into "Done"?

One other suggestion, would it be appropriate to have an Off Topic (but specific to NGFW) post here in the NGFW thread?

Sorry, if it sounds like I'm a newbie. Just looking for more opportunities to get involved with this product. Thanks in advance.

No driver changes or updates are included in 17.0.

You can (should?) disable auto upgrade.
                    HTML Code:

Just did a clean install of 17 RC and noticed that during account creation the URL that opens in the browser is invalid...

                      https://launchpad.edge.arista.com//l...xxxx-xxxx-xxxx yes that's a double //

After realizing what was going on and removing a / I was able to create the account and setup.

                          Hi

I am using Untangle NGFW. Its not automatically updating to new firmware or even I couldnt check update and install it from console. All option I have is manually install in router. is it normal? Or am I missing something to install without doing it manually? I appreciate your help.

                          Thanks
                          Badri M
