  • New OpenVPN client on Arista "conflicts with networking:static-address"

    Greetings all,

This is a new one to me but I'm hoping others have seen it.

The basic setup is as follows: Primary subnet @ 192.168.2.x, second one for security cameras @ 192.168.50.x The install is HyperV with three vSwitches, one for each physical subnet and the ISP. The subnets do not talk to each other nor should they.

The primary network has OpenVPN configured fine and works well exporting the primary network/clients. The second one however fails each time I try to create a new client for exporting the network. Error attached.

The exported network is set to be 192.168.50.0/24; the IP for the secondary network card is 192.168.50.200/24 and finally; i have a second "group" that does not have full tunnel or push DNS (not needed as it's only cameras).

I'm hoping that it's something silly I'm missing but if not, I appreciate any insight you folks may have.

    Thanks in advance.
    Ox

PS...apologies if not enough info. Untangle/OpenVPN is still fairly new for me.

We need screen captures of the network interfaces and the OpenVPN settings. Somewhere you have 192.168.50.0/24 twice.

Goodness. Bad day jcoffin? That was a rather curt reply.

To clarify then, if you would please, you don't want the openvpn-server-groups setting; the openvpn-server-exported networks settings; the openvpn-server-remote clients setting. Is it the address space you need? 172.16.x.x/24 is mine. Do you need the advanced settings for client and server? There aren't any IP related options there but I can share if that helps.

Aside from the eth settings, all posted info was from the OpenVPN app. I'd really like to get this working so any help would be welcome.

          Thanks again.

Better a curt reply than none. I mean they are replying at least. I’m about ready to install PiVPN over here.
