Hi I am having issues with spam blocker with my DNS as follow

Spam Blocker is installed but a DNS server (External, 1.1.1.1) fails to resolve DNSBL queries.
Spam Blocker is installed but a DNS server (External, 1.0.0.1) fails to resolve DNSBL queries.

I am very new to the Untangle and firewall in general I really want to use the 1.1.1.1 as my dns does anyone know How I can resolve this issue ?

    Thank you !!

The short answer? You cannot use public DNS services with Spam Blocker.

The script I linked will tell you what specifically isn't working, and you can use the DNS Server's section of the DNS tab to redirect just those queries to different DNS that will still work. I ended up deploying my own VPS in the cloud just to resolve DNS for Spam Blocker because all my ISP DNS servers get blocked too.

Thank you so much for the quick reply How can I run the script and also By running this script I guess my understanding is it will tell me which DNS will work with this DNSBL or the spam blocker Right ? So then I can use that under the dns tab and use it specifically just for this

You need to use your ISP DNS server IPs to get DNSBL queries.

The script is run via SSH or in the terminal on the physical console. It tests the DNS resolution against the lists in question and tells you which ones work, and which ones don't. It's the only way to get immediate feedback while you tinker in the DNS tab to fix things.

If you have support, they can help too.
