    SSL blocking any Amazon searches - displays "Sorry something went wrong on our end"

    I can't figure out why SSL inspector is interfering and add a rule around it. But when SSL Inspector is on and I go to Amazon.com and search for anything in their search bar, I only get "Sorry something went wrong on our end. Please go back and try again or go to Amazon's home page. And also get one of their dog pictures.

    I've looked though the logs to figure out why, but can't find a fix.

    I have amazon.com in a pass rule in SSL inspector. I only have TLS 1.2 boxes checked in the SSL config (not TLS 1.3, which was causing other problems).

    I don't want to leave SSL inspector off, but don't know how to fix this. Any ideas?

    do you have any screenshots on the reports/logs from SSL Inspector and to amazon's homepage?

    And post a screenshot of your pass rule as well.

      WHen SSL Inspector is on, I also have to answer a Captcha type thing (entering characters I see) requested by Amazon instead of taking me right to Amazon's home page when typing in the URL.

      I tried a couple searches with SSL inspector on and I don't see anything blocked in the SSL Inspector logs.

        There are all kinds of odd things with Amazon's website with SSL Inspection turned on. Even with amazon.com as a bypass rule in SSL configs it interferes.

          Bypassing the main domain will do very little. Modern web sites are made of tens to hundreds of web site components. Use the browser logging (F12) and you can see all the parts that make a web site. Some sites even hold off fully loading unless their tracking and ads are visible.

            Thats why I use Brave & block as much as I can, so if the page no load, I move on !
