Tunnel VPN App only Open VPN

Is the Tunnel VPN app only using OpenVPN or can it be used to connect to a Wireguard service

Use case I am looking at is that PIA and Nord are now offering a wireguard version of their service.. Would I use the Tunnel VPN app or just the Wireguard app>?

Tunnel VPN is OpenVPN. It can't be used with other VPN technologies.
