Send only internet traffic through vpn (but doesnt seem to forward)

I have Allowed IPs set to my default gateway. But I think the traffic is either not going through the vpn or I have set the server up wrong somewhere. I used this guide:


the vpn connects fine with the windows app. It shows keep alive being sent in the log. But if I set the traffic to 0.0.0.0/0 so everything goes through then I have no internet. Ive been hitting my head against the keyboard for the last couple of hours now. :P I have the forwarding set up from the guide and the firewall rules. If there is something I should post or a pic of some window plz let me know.

Found out about kill switch. Now I can have local access to that computer and all other traffic to vpn. But the vpn still isnt routing data. Browser doesnt work. Along with the firewall rules the only other thing ive added is this to sysctl.conf:

net.ipv4.ip_forward=1

Unfortunately this forum is just for Untangle implementation of WireGuard. You need to find an Ubuntu forum.
